A terrific new wine bar has opened in Hemisfair

Re:Rooted 210 Urban Winery is opening on Thursday in Hemisfair. It's on the northeast corner of The '68 apartment building's first floor retail space.
This new wine bar and shop has an intriguing concept. It doesn't have shelf after shelf of wine bottles. Instead, it sells a limited number of custom-made Texas wines, and it sells those wines in growlers that you can take home, drink, and then return for a refill.
Owners Jennifer and John Beckmann take their wine seriously, and they are eager to become integrated into the neighborhood.
John told us:
"We've met so many people [here in the neighborhood] who have a daily routine - walking their dog or out to get some air - and now we're part of that routine, even it its just to check on the progress and ask when we're going to be open. It's great to be in a place where people are invested in what's going on around them."
